Sooo S/mileage is becoming generational~

So far I'm not sure how to feel about this announcement, but I can definitely see both sides of things.

S/mileage and their wota must be pretty upset.  /omg   A change in a group's line-up is always a hard thing to swallow, especially when you have been exclusively following a certain set of girls for so long. We don't know how another girl(or girls possibly) will affect the sales, popularity, or looks of S/mileage.
S/mileage MUST be at least a little upset. Becoming generational means that their time in the group is now limited. The group that they worked hard to debut will continue on even if they are not a part of it. Before this announcement S/mileage could have continued on as a 4nin group and let their style of music change with age, like Berryz Koubou. But now their time will come to an end...
Does this mean that Dawa will be leaving soon??!?!! :( I surely hope not!!

While this all seems sad I have to think about the positive things this could bring for S/mileage. Tsunku obviously wants to keep the group fresh-faced, making cute and upbeat music. (Because they're obviously going to turn into wrinkled old hags at 18) XD New girls could mean new fans and new opportunities. Auditions/Graduations are also a really good way to get the press going...

Either way I wish S/mileage and their tentative new members the best of luck....

And I fucking hope to see Dawa around for a lot longer.

There is a lot of room for speculation and questioning with this announcement....
Is Tsunku going to try to make S/mileage the new MM?
Does this mean that Berryz Koubou or C-ute will be leaving us soon?

Only time will tell~

Here's Tsunku's surprise announcement to the girls

  1. This revelation annoyed me to no end. I wanted them to be like a new H!P kids group like Berryz and C-ute (since they're growing up). For fans of all of H!P and not just one group, it'll be more annoying to keep up to date on everything >.<
